Frequently Asked Questions
To assist you in learning more about the Credit
Union, we have compiled a short list of the most frequently asked
questions and answers: Q:
What are your hours of operation?
A complete listing of our hours
and branch locations is available
online. Q: Do I have
to maintain a minimum balance in savings?
The minimum balance required for membership is $5.00.
However, to avoid a monthly service fee you must maintain an average
daily balance of $300 or acquire a credit union loan or a Credit
Union VISA credit card with an active balance. You will
also earn dividends on your savings account with an average daily
balance of $100 or more. This fee does not apply to members
under 16 or over 55 years of age, accounts opened less than 90 days
or loans paid off less then 90 days. For questions, please
contact our
Member Services Department.
Q: Where may I use my ATM card?
Your credit union ATM and/or MasterMoney Debit Card
is accepted at any outlet which displays the Star/Honor, Presto,
CU24, or Cirrus logos. And remember, at Presto ATM's, you can
make up to 4 withdrawals per month with no fee! Find out
additional information and/or view the Online ATM Locator to find an
ATM near you. Q: What
is the difference between the Kwik Kash ATM Card and the MasterMoney
Debit Card? The MasterMoney
Debit Card can be used as both an ATM card for cash withdrawals as
well as for purchases at merchants displaying the MasterCard logo.
Unlike the ATM withdrawal, your debit card transaction at a merchant
may not appear on your account for up to 72 hours. Therefore,
the credit union requires a credit check before issuing the debit
card. Additional information is available online about both of these
products. Q: Why
should I use the Teller 24 Audio Response system instead of calling
and speaking with a "live person"?
Although we do enjoy speaking with our members,
Teller 24 is usually quicker and more convenient. With a toll
free number and 24-hour availability, you can check balances,
request withdrawals, transfer funds between accounts, receive check
clearing information and more. Please refer to our
Teller 24
page online for more information about this service. If you
choose to speak with a member service representative to request a
check withdrawal, there is a $2.00 per check fee.
